About
We invite you to step behind the scenes of theatrical magic! The contest accepts photographs featuring people involved in the theatre: actors, directors, technical crew, or audience members.
These may include moments of performance on stage, rehearsals, preparation before going on stage, backstage interactions, or genuine emotional reactions from the audience. We especially welcome images that convey tension, drama, transformation, joy, or fatigue—the very essence that makes theatre come alive.
Photos may be taken during performances (in accordance with the venue’s photography rules) or backstage—as long as they clearly show real people actively engaged in theatrical life.
Accepted:
- Documentary and staged photographs where people are the central focus—their emotions, gestures, interactions, concentration, transformation, and authentic moments of theatrical life
Not accepted:
- Photos without people: empty stages, sets, costumes, props, dressing rooms without characters, or any other details that do not include participants of the theatrical process
- Works lacking clear theatrical context—no visible signs of a stage, performance, rehearsal, or any other direct connection to theatre as an art form
